Along the way, you’ll be enchanted by sun-drenched Provençal villages, rolling landscapes, and a culinary tradition steeped in centuries of flavor and ritual.

Day 1

Arrival in Arles

Nestled along the Rhône River delta, Arles is a city steeped in history and natural beauty. Recognized by UNESCO for its remarkable Roman and Romanesque monuments, as well as its historic pilgrimage routes, Arles also serves as the gateway to one of Europe’s most stunning natural landscapes—rich with unique flora and fauna.

The city’s artistic legacy is equally compelling: it was here that Vincent van Gogh created more than 300 works during his transformative 15-month stay.

At 3:00 PM, we’ll gather at the hotel for a warm welcome and brief introduction, followed by a relaxed walking tour through the heart of the city. We’ll end the evening with an aperitivo and light dinner, soaking in the charm and ambiance of this unforgettable destination.

Day 2

A Journey Through Time in Arles

Turn back the clock as we spend the day uncovering the layers of Arles’ rich past. We'll explore the ancient Roman theater and amphitheater, stroll through the hauntingly beautiful Alyscamps necropolis, and step into the daily life of antiquity at the Baths of Constantine.

Then, we’ll fast-forward to the present for a lively group lunch, where we’ll continue our Roman conversation over local flavors—history served with a modern twist.

Day 3

Nîmes: The French Rome

Often referred to as the “French Rome,” Nîmes is home to some of the most exceptionally preserved Roman monuments in the world.

Our day begins at the awe-inspiring Arènes de Nîmes, one of the finest Roman amphitheaters still standing. From there, we’ll admire the elegant Maison Carrée, a pristine example of classical temple architecture, and visit the mysterious Temple of Diana, nestled in the city’s lush gardens.

We’ll complete our journey through time at the Musée de la Romanité, where interactive exhibits and extraordinary artifacts bring the grandeur and daily life of ancient Rome vividly to life.

Day 4

Ancient Roots & Scenic Landscapes in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence

Tucked in the heart of the Alpilles, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence is one of the oldest towns in France—founded over 2,500 years ago by the Celts and later shaped by Greek and Roman influence.

We’ll begin the day exploring the Parc Archéologique de Glanum, home to remarkably preserved Roman ruins, followed by a visit to the Tombeau des Julii, one of the region’s finest Roman monuments. Then, we’ll venture to the Barbegal Watermills, a fascinating ancient engineering marvel set in a beautiful natural landscape—perfect for a scenic and enriching walk.

The day concludes with a group lunch and a wine tasting experience, celebrating the flavors and heritage of Provence.

Orange & Pont du Gard: Legacy of Roman Engineering

Founded as Arausio in 35 BC, Orange is a city that proudly preserves its Roman roots. We’ll visit two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the extraordinary Roman Theater, among the best-preserved in the world, and the Arc de Triomphe, a monumental Roman arch celebrating military triumphs.

After lunch, we’ll travel to the iconic Pont du Gard, a stunning Roman aqueduct that spans the Gardon River. This towering structure stands as a powerful testament to Roman engineering and innovation—both functional and breathtaking in its scale and beauty.

Day 6

From Papal Grandeur to Roman Ruins: Avignon & Vaison-la-Romaine

Our day begins in Avignon, the 14th-century seat of the papacy, where history and architecture come together in dramatic form. We’ll walk across the legendary Pont d'Avignon, explore the elegant Notre-Dame des Doms, and stand in awe before the Palais des Papes, one of the largest and most important Gothic buildings in Europe.

In the afternoon, we journey to Vaison-la-Romaine, a town where Roman heritage unfolds at every turn—from ancient streets and mosaics to ruins that reveal daily life in antiquity.

Day 7

Papal Splendor & Roman Remains: Avignon & Vaison-la-Romaine

Our final day brings us to the heart of Avignon, a city where layers of history converge in magnificent fashion. Known as the seat of the papacy in the 14th century, Avignon enchants visitors with its remarkable medieval architecture and cultural legacy.

We’ll begin with a visit to the legendary Pont d’Avignon, followed by the historic Notre-Dame des Doms, perched high above the city with panoramic views. The highlight of the morning is the imposing Palais des Papes, one of Europe’s largest and most important Gothic structures.

In the afternoon, we travel to Vaison-la-Romaine, where Roman ruins and excavated sites vividly reveal daily life in antiquity. From ancient houses to public baths and theaters, this town is an open-air museum of Roman civilization.

A perfect finale to a journey filled with history, discovery, and unforgettable moments.
